Storage between moves or for as long as you need
Storage in San Diego runs $150 to $350 per month for a vault holding a typical 1-bedroom and $300 to $700 for a 3-bedroom load, with month-to-month terms after a 30-day minimum. Climate-controlled space holds steady at 65 to 75 degrees and 50 percent humidity for art, electronics, leather, and wood furniture. What do homeowners ask about Storage?
Do I need climate-controlled storage in San Diego?
Coastal San Diego doesn't get extreme temperatures, but humidity swings and salt air do real damage to leather, electronics, art, and certain woods over months. For storage under 60 days, ambient is usually fine. Past 60 days or for sensitive items at any duration, climate-controlled is the safer call. The price difference is about $40 to $80 per month for a 1-bedroom load.
How does the 30-day minimum work?
Storage is billed in 30-day increments. If you store for 5 days, you still pay for 30. After the first 30, billing prorates daily so you only pay for the days your goods are in the vault. There's no annual contract: month-to-month after the minimum.
What about valuation while my stuff is stored?
While in our care, your goods are covered under the same Released Value (60 cents/lb/article) or Full Value Protection terms you chose at the move. FVP can be carried month over month for an additional valuation premium. You can also bring your own renter's or homeowner's policy with a stored-property rider, which some carriers prefer.
Can I access my stuff while it is stored?
Yes, with 24 to 48 hours' notice. We pull the vault, you visit during business hours, and we restage it. Each access trip has a small handling fee ($75 to $150) because we need a 2-mover crew to pull and restock the vault. If you expect to access goods often, an external self-storage unit is usually a better fit and we can move you there instead.

Two-bedroom walk-up off Mission with a 6-foot back alley. They sized it right, brought a 17-foot shuttle, and finished in five hours. Final invoice came in under the binding estimate.
PCS to Norfolk on a tight DPS window. They handled the on-base gate paperwork, weighed the load with us watching, and the long-distance team had it on a USDOT truck by Wednesday. Knew the reimbursement paperwork cold.
Downsizing from a four-bedroom to a two-bedroom condo at 78. The crew sorted with us, dropped donations at AmVets on the way, and never once made us feel rushed. Worth every dollar.
